A leading mechanical contractor required a temporary domestic hot water solution to maintain continuous service for two occupied apartment buildings during essential works to the existing plant room. The boiler location could only be accessed through a low entrance with approximately 2 metres of clearance, making it impossible to install conventional packaged boiler hire equipment. There was also no access for HIAB vehicles, removing the possibility of lifting larger plant into position.
Rather than compromising on output, Ideal Heat Solutions selected two of our latest modular boilers. Their compact footprint allowed each unit to be delivered using a tail-lift vehicle before being carefully manoeuvred into position using pallet trucks.
This innovative approach eliminated the need for specialist lifting equipment, reduced delivery costs and enabled the installation to be completed efficiently despite the challenging access constraints.
