Objective
Our client is a specialist district energy contractor that is responsible for installing an energy centre on a large residential scheme in North London. Due to no fault of their own, there were various delays through the supplier chain and also with the gas main coming in. Their client was a large property developer that had challenging targets that had to be met, one of which was turning the heat on for that phase of development.
Briefing
After speaking with the client, Ideal Heat Solutions suggested that a detailed site survey was conducted in order to determine the best location of the temporary boiler plant within the construction site. Within the site survey, temporary flow and return routes and connection points were stipulated along with power requirements.
Ideal Heat Solutions proposed and specified the 500kW packaged plant room, in order to facilitate the heating and hot water requirements for this residential build.
The Technical Part
Upon completion of the site survey, Ideal Heat Solutions provided a report specifying the following:
- Logistics for the delivery of the equipment
- Temporary boiler location
- Hose routes
- 100mm PN16 flange connections points available prior to delivery and installation
- RAMS
- Method Statement
By clearly seeing all of the specifications outlined in the site survey report, it allowed for a seamless delivery and install of the temporary plant room. The client was extremely impressed, commenting:
