Most employees don’t give much thought to the workplace boiler or chiller – until they start to breakdown.
The consequences can be disastrous, with operations suspended and the prospect of financial and reputational loss. We regularly rush to the rescue of businesses suffering a sudden boiler or chiller breakdown, and have seen the stress it causes.
The aim of a chiller or boiler rental contingency plan is to provide a seamless solution which takes over and prevents disruption to productivity. Our service is reliable, comprehensive, rigorous about health and safety, and every plan we create is tailored to your specific operational needs and site parameters.

In short . . . business as usual.
Our boiler or chiller contingency planning process covers any eventuality and is the result of years of logistics development – we leave nothing to chance.
Here’s how it works:
1
We send one of our experts directly to your site to undertake a thorough assessment and prepare a quote. No two sites are ever the same! We consider proximity to power sources, access and installation areas, the space available for the unit, compatibility with existing infrastructure, and compliance with health and safety guidelines.
2
Once we have all the details, we decide on the most efficient and effective boiler or chiller for your premises, type of business and site confines.
3
We set up an account for each customer so we have all details immediately to hand in the event of an emergency.
4
You’ve signed off your chiller or boiler contingency plan. If you need to put it into action, we’ll be ready and waiting to set up your temporary unit, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – help is just a phone call away.

Amazing service from Ideal Heat - who supplied 4 x industrial sized Air conditioning units after placing an order out of hours for next day morning delivery. Emily was incredibly helpful, immediately responsive with solutions, and the units arrived earlier than expected in time for intended use. Cannot recommend highly enough and would absolutely use them again in the future.Posted on Clark CampbellTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Steve from Ideal Heat is an absolute pleasure to work with, when faced with an urgent need for temporary boiler, with no past experience or contacts, we called, and were able to get quotes, account setup, and installation over a weekend to keep our school running. Nothing was too much trouble. Kelly in the office is incredibly proactive and made everything straightforward and clear, all the maintenance was taken care of and we didn't need to worry about anything, faults were rare and were managed by the office without us even knowing. We hired for a longer period than we anticipated, but feel like we have built a relationship, with people that we can work with rather than just a supplier that we order things from. I would have no hesitation in recommending Ideal Heat Solutions and the team. Thanks so much!Posted on Chris RogersTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Boilers and chillers are connected to your existing system using flexible stainless steel hoses. These would need to be connected to the existing system flow and return pipework. Our Contingency Plan survey would highlight location of connection points and connections required. We can even quote for any adaptations that may be required.
Power requirements depend on the type and size of boiler or chiller you hire. During your site survey, our engineers will confirm exactly what power would be required for the specified equipment. If a suitable supply isn’t available on site, we can provide temporary generators and full electrical enabling works as part of our total rental This ensures your temporary boiler or chiller is powered safely, efficiently, and in line with UK electrical compliance standards.
We operate 24/7. In most cases, our engineers can be on site within hours, depending on location and equipment type.
During the site survey we plan the most practical and safe positioning for the temporary equipment specified. Our engineers consider access routes, crane or HIAB requirements, connection points, ventilation, and safety clearances. Equipment is typically placed externally in designated areas or compounds, and we can provide security fencing, scaffolding, and acoustic barriers if required. All pipework and electrical connections are routed with minimal disruption to site operations.
This is dependent on the level of plan in place. With our Protect Plus+ plan, the specified equipment package is ringfenced so it’s ready for you in the event of an emergency. When you sign up for a plan, the right boiler, chiller, heater, or ancillary equipment is pre-specified and reserved against your site requirements. This ensures priority access to our fleet when you need it.
Yes – you don’t need a contingency plan in place to hire from Ideal Heat Solutions. We supply temporary boilers, chillers, heaters, generators and ancillaries for both planned and emergency needs. Many of our clients come to us for their hire requirements during maintenance shutdowns, seasonal demand, or construction projects, without requiring a formal contingency agreement.
That said, contingency planning is highly recommended because it speeds up deployment in the event of an emergency. But whether you’re planning ahead or responding to an urgent situation, we can provide flexible, fully managed hire solutions whenever you need them.
Our systems include Trend BMS or Trane Connect remote monitoring. This allows us to make adjustments and diagnose faults instantly, backed by our 24/7 support team.
