The Brief
It’s crucial to keep the heat on across all kinds of developments, not least in residential apartments that house those who have retired and want to, let’s say, experience the finer things in life.
This development is a large purpose-built sheltered scheme on the borders of Wandsworth and Battersea. The scheme was built in 1980 and is relatively modern in design. It is arranged in a horseshoe shape with pleasurable courtyard garden for residents.
An expert in temporary heat, during a plantroom renovation Ideal Heat Solutions delivered one such temporary boiler to minimise disruption and assure occupant comfort.
The Objective
Ideal Heat Solutions was selected for this project due to its long-standing relationship with its client. Ideal Heat always works in partnership with clients and the engineers to get the job done and meet the project’s requirements.
The project’s brief required Ideal Heat Solutions to provide heating to the apartment block whilst its plantroom was being refitted. To meet with these demands, a sophisticated temporary boiler was needed. Ideal Heat had just the solution, in the form of a 500kW oil fired boiler. With a 92% fuel efficiency rating, Ideal Heat’s 500kW oil fired boiler was the perfect choice for this application. The oil fired boiler is incredibly versatile and comes complete with Ideal Heat’s advanced BMS Trend technology, which monitors the temporary boiler’s performance remotely and makes any necessary adjustments – so engineers don’t have to visit site.
Challenges
Due to the nature of this project and its busy location, it was essential to deliver and install the temporary boiler out of hours to ensure minimal disruption. With Ideal Heat Solutions’ team utilising their skill and expertise, the temporary boiler was landed at 05:00am successfully.
Going that extra mile for the client, Ideal Heat worked alongside the contractor that was replacing the boilers in the plantroom on the day of installation. The contractor created the connection points for Ideal Heat in the morning and Ideal Heat was able to offer full support until the task was complete. All that was left to do was for Ideal Heat to connect the hose so that the residents had heat and hot water in the afternoon.
A successful project, this was the third temporary boiler that the client had hired this year. It just goes to show the quality and service Ideal Heat provides has no compare in the industry.
With the client able to assure occupant comfort during this plant room renovation, Ideal Heat Solutions has once again hit the mark on supplying and delivering a sophisticated temporary boiler that kept the heat on when it was most needed.
